2019 repress - classic ebm/ techno bubbler that s been on many wants list for some time, sweaty italian club action you do not want to miss! 500 only. tip! - originally released in 1990 on doremix records, techno bert was the studio project of robert passera and stefano cundari, co-owner of memory records and mastermind behind some italo disco classic names like hipnosis, koto, faxe. stefano cundari unfortunately died of cancer on the same year of the release.

cologne based producers and dj s stikdorn and mk braun team up for the second installment of their henk label. they created 4 tracks full of analogue hardware vibes ready for the dancefloor. the a1 (platform) is a breakbeat tribute with a haunting melody and some twisted turns. a2 (reval) is a straight looping techno stomper that could go on forever. b1 (atm) takes the floor apart with sharp and crispy noise and acid sounds on a heavy bass drum. b2 (loose it) slows things down bpm-wise but is surely also one to open or close a night in style.

it’s the idea of capturing a moment on vinyl that created the first release of “henk”. after countless hours of twitching the knobs on their machines the dj’s and producers stikdorn and mk braun created a string of tracks that will now see the light of day on their collaborative label. on the a1 a solo track by stikdorn takes you into darker spheres with an acid line and mystic strings/vocals. the a2 is an acidic banger ready to damage some dance floors seriously. on the b-side things get slower and quirkier. b1 is a bit broken and features a trippy acid line to guide you through lots of different drum patterns. b2 is a melancholic ride going seriously deep and mellow. the perfect closing track!

psychedelic deep soul of the highest order, symphonic four was a st louis based band (as was the original label zudan). word is the record was recorded in detroit, and the backing band was made up of some members of parliament/funkadelic which would make a lot of sense. a long time spin for deep soul head but deserving of a wider audience and that why we could not resist to pull this one from the now again catalogue, 500 copies only.
